Escape for a day of culinary bliss! Imagine that! Have you ever longed to go on a foodie holiday? To travel to somewhere you've never been and taste gourmet food you've never tasted before?

To taste flavor combinations by gifted chefs and to visit wineries? Perhaps visit a farm where artisan goat cheese is made or to step into the decadent studio of a chocolatier to witness and sample rich, luxurious confections.

These are just of my favorite things that you can do on a Canopy Rose Food Jaunt!!

Setting the stage for outdoor parties can be great fun!

To begin with, give yourself permission to think outside the box.

If you feel like going over the top... go ahead and do it! Your guests will love it!

The freedom and openess of an outdoor environment lends itself to many magical interpretations, especially for evening events.

Think candlelight, moonlight, fanciful tents and elaborate settings. Maybe secret living rooms and dining rooms. Bring in furniture, oriental rugs, a baby grand piano, a dance floor, a dazzling collection of fascinating guests and the exquisite taste sensations of Canopy Rose Catering!

You get the idea! outdoor furniture

Please don't get me wrong!! Let it go on the record that I am a huge supporter of locally-owned businesses!

I am also a major supporter of locally-owned businesses developing their web presence.

For the first time in the history of world commerce, a level playing field was created where small mom and pops could compete with the giant conglomerates!

Who would have ever thought that someone could create a billion dollar enterprise out of their 2 car garage or their Manhattan co-op?

Kudos to the world wide web that forever changed the world as we once knew it! Kudos to those who are not afraid to embrace this technology with extraordinary possibilities.

It is hard to believe that there are still people around today who consider the world wide web as a gigantic social threat. When will they realize that the web is one of the greatest gifts of our modern era?

Where can you go for vinyl shutters in the small towns of America?

Now that my home base is behind the shop in a town of 2000 residents , I have discovered another reason to hit the web when I need something that is not locally available.

With gas prices skyrocketing, why fire up the auto and drive to the closest big city when it is so easy to buy it online?
Look before you love! A few years ago, I discovered this book of the same name at Barnes and Noble. I had to have it!

Times were tight, but I splurged and bought it to add it to my personal library.

I think it is a great book filled with common sense and loads of wisdom! The real gift I received was in the support of some things that I had often suspected, but not accepted as a real way to quantify certain things.

If you are single - read this book! If I had read this book a long time ago, perhaps my life would be far different from the way it is today.

I love to blog! Not only does blogging give me the opportunity to earn a little additional revenue, it gives me the opportunity to spin out some quick creatives! Not a bad thing for a starving writer! Ok, I have to admit I'm not starving quite like I was, when I was trying to live by my writing alone. But with a new business, the little bit I earn by advertising links helps me far more than you might realize.

So I'll just come on out and ask... won't you help support me and my business either through buying some catering or buying some I-Strategies from my company?

We do a GREAT job and would love to have your business! We provide links for a wide variety of products and services. We even post links for life transformational programs such as: weight loss and alcohol rehab. How do you like those beans?
"Kathi, would you put in a link for a beer pong table? We sure could use some increased traffic to our website."

"Sure! We don't discriminate against beer pongs! Consider it done! Here's toasting you and your company to much success!"

If you are in the market for beer pongs.... check them out!
Exciting things are abloom at Canopy Rose in downtown Havana! Be on the lookout for a Saturday morning prepared food market. We are looking at opening every Saturday from 8am to 2 pm to sell a collection of deliciously prepared to go foods.

So far there are about three of us that will be joining together for this unique market. We hope to launch as early as May 10, 2008.

To learn more about our weekly offerings visit the regular Canopy Rose website at www dot canopy rose dot com or call Kathi Dameron from the Canopy Rose Culinary Arts Studio and Catering Company at 850-539-7750.

We always welcome new advertisers, too! Would you like for us to add links from our websites to your website? Let's pow-wow! We are especially interested in advertisers that sell food, entertaining, home and garden products!
Gloves are perhaps one of the most critical resources from a safety perspective in a food service establishment.

But it is essential that gloves are changed frequently and that an operation keep cases on hand to protect the safety of the guests.

For catering gigs I like to supply each of the staff members with their own supply of a dozen or so gloves for the event. If they exhaust their supply, there is always more on site available at a central location.

For those who are self-catering their own parties... don't overlook the importance of some sort of plastic deli or latex exam gloves.
