Who would have ever thought that times would get so difficult?

Those who study history, and have the ability to keenly understand the interplay of current and past economic & political policy are certainly not surprised.

Many said the handwriting was on the wall. Could we not have predicted the trillion dollar price tag of a jihad that from where I sit seems to have accomplished little more than lining defense contractors pockets and tragically ending so many people's lives.
